Time For Some Changes
In an effort to regain control over what media I see and consume as opposed to being given what media and tech conglomerates think I should see and consume via personalized algorithms, I have turned to the ancient technology that is rss. I set up a tt-rss (tinytinyrss) server on my personal site, and loaded it up with everything I am interested in seeing throughout the day. Due to how my AWS Lightsail instance is set up, it was a pain to get going and I had to refamiliarize myself with working in a linux console environment. But it was fun to do, and definitely worth it.
Now I can stay up to date with my news, podcasts, feeds, comics, favorite youtube channels, and friends/family blogs all in one place, and easily accessible via the official tinytinyrss mobile app.
In other news, I can’t wait until protondrive (from the makers of protonmail) becomes a thing and I can move all my cloud storage data over to that far more secure and less invasive ecosystem.
And finally, I’ll probably be making some more changes to this website, and updating things, shuffling them around, etc., since most of the D&D static page world information was for a campaign that is likely over, and replacing it with info for the one that is still going strong.
