Still Dreaming of Kobolds
I made a post last year about a Kobold Campaign. I still think about it. I don’t think I’d really do it that style though. I think I’d make it instead an ‘evil’ campaign.
I’ve never DMed an evil campaign. But someday I really want to DM a campaign where all the players are kobolds in servitude to/worship a dragon and their one goal in life is to steal, kill, ‘borrow’, manipulate, sacrifice damsels to old gods, and generally rube goldberg ‘get rich and powerful quick’ plans across the region/world in an attempt to earn favor with their dragon and help it gain the wealth and power they believe it deserves.
I’d have three set in stone rules:
1. You have to play Kobolds. Because I think they’re hilarious.
2. Your character honestly believes their dragon is the best thing ever and would die before doing anything against it.
3. Your characters work together because you realize working together accomplishes more than working alone.
Other than that, anything goes. If your character happens to die a gruesome death at the hands of vengeful heroes, your dragon sends a replacement. It’d be the ultimate full chaos evil murderhobo campaign and I honestly think it’d be absolutely fantastic.
